Simone Georges has worked in the Canadian performing arts sector for over 35 years.For the past 5 years she has been the Marketing Director for the nationally reknown 4th Line Theatre located outside of Millbrook, and in 2005 has added Administraive Director to her portfolio. Ms. Georges has worked as a producer with Patria Music Theatre, Clay and Paper Theatre Company, CanStage, Tapestry New Opera, and Buddies and Bad Times Theatre. Her work includes fundraising in the not for profit sector and she enjoys volunteer work with local heritage and conservation groups. As well as serving on the Millbrook and District Chamber of Commerce over the past ten years, she serves on the Executive of the Association of Summer Theatres Round Ontario and the Clay and Paper Theatre board and has just completed her second term with City of Kawartha Lakes Heritage Victoria Committee.
Michael runs his law practice from his home office in Cavan. It is a general practice with an emphasis on civil litigation, family law and wills and estates. Michael was called to the Ontario Bar in 1981 and ran his own law firm in Toronto before moving to the Millbrook area. Michael also has a background in computer programming and software development. He is a member of the Peterborough Law Association and was recently elected President of the Technology Alliance Group for Kawartha Lakes.
Ian uses Bear Essentials in Millbrook as his home away from home. He has been involved with both the Millbrook BIA and the Millbrook and District Chamber of Commerce since arriving in the Village, after 35 years in the Corporate World.
Ian, and his wife Bonnie, have lived in the area for almost 20 years and have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. Ian has found that meeting people, through the Chamber’s social events, has allowed him to buy goods and services that he didn’t know were available locally. “I believe that it is especially important for people working from their homes to attend Chamber Events and meet other local business people”.
